I liked the look of them too, but didn't like the riding possition as much as the TA... Had a spin on a Triumph Tiger recently, which was sooo smooth - very nice, but too tall for me (luckily, cos I think they look FAB....)

Anyway whilst we're at it, yes I liked the look of a few secondhand Tigers, and they were a good price, but as you say the seat height was OTT (fortunately).

I sat on the TDM850 but never actually took it for a ride. It has a lovely low seat and seems very narrow combined with a high riding position, which is what I need for filtering in London (plus it's rumoured to have plenty of low down grunt).

In the end though after talking to Lord Vader I decided to blow the family fortune on Paragliding lessons rather than a bike upgrade. Mrs VSH reckons I'm determined to wipe myself out before I make it to retirement age

Anyway to get back to the point... you obviously decided motorcycling is nowhere near dangerous enough for you and need something more stimulating...... unless... did your wife surreptitiously mention the idea you take up paragliding, by any chance? I reckon you should cash in your life insurance policy and buy a TDM850 AND a Tiger
