I've got heated grips on mine and run with headlight on all the time and I've never had any trouble with the battery draining.
Current draw from a satnav is negligible, so shouldn't cause you any grief (unless you only ever do really short journeys which doesn't put much charge back in, I expect).
I have always-on headlight/taillight heated grips, Sat-nav and fog lights, most of which are on all the time, no problems, except once last winter, when I was doing short commutes, the key here is to put the bike on an optimate charger each night, then you will have no worries.
I run with headlight on (can't put it off on the 05 model), I run two 55 watt spots on all the time and I have heated grips , although they are very rarely on.
But no probs , and I don't use any battery top-up device such as optimate.
2011 Triumph Tiger 800 - "Black Pussy" - MMMM Nice !!!![]()
2000 Suzuki DRZ400S - "Ol' Yella" - very bright
2011 Peugeot V-Clic 50cc - "Scoot" - It's my wife's, an enjoyable ride.
I have a house , but I can't guarantee it's safe !!
High beams on all the time and pair of 55w spots and the alternator is still putting 14+ volts to the battery.
The UK 650 TA has an alternator which puts out 368 watts at 5000 rpm. This in theory means you have the power to run the heated grips and GPS and if you wanted you could add heated jacket, extra lights and still have spare capacity.
The euro 650 and 600 has 310 watts. and the AT is 360 watts
