    Tyre pressures

I'm sure I could find this somewhere on the 'net but it's quicker to consult the expets here!
Can anyone advise me on correct tyre pressures for my TA650 travelling 2 up with full luggage (running on Tourances) for a trip to France next week? Travelling on main roads & motorways only.
    Thanks all!

Can anyone help with this please?
I've searched but can't find anything for two-up fully laden, only the standard stuff on the Metzeler website.

29 / 32 psi for two-up riding, with full luggage - how much is full luggage ?

    I'd stick with 29 / 32.

    Re: Tyre pressures

    Cheers Wheelie,
Full luggage is panniers & topbox (and as I'm taking the wife, lord knows what they'll be holding!!) Seriously though, they will only have clothes, shoes & stuff so won't be too heavy (and topbox probably empty as I use it to put helmets in when parked).
So you reckon 29/32 same as the Metz site suggests then?

    Re: Tyre pressures

To be honest I've never ridden a Transalp two-up but always found they handle carrying weight quite well.

The only time I've carried too much, returning from Belgium with a crate of beer on the rack and panniers stuffed with wine, spirits and tobacco, the front became a bit sensitive.

Increasing the front tyre pressure would have made this a lot worse I'd of thought .

    Re: Tyre pressures

I'd go with the above pressures, went down to Heathrow last weekend with pillion, 25kg suitcase & hand luggage strapped to the back rack pus my own weekend gear in the tankbag.

I'd suggest a trial run, the rear prelaod will want increasing a bit - 3-7mm?

Have you explained that the capacity is a limit and not a target (also try it with credit cards!)
