I've been picked up about this on MOT's (though never failed...yet). On full lock, my Renthal bars knock against the windshield of my TA. Is there a way to stop this happening (other than by going back to stock bars, of course)?

Loosen off the handlebar clamps and roll the bars back towards you until they dont touch the screen - you may have to adjust your levers/mirrors after doing this.
What if they then foul on the petrol tank - are risers likely to be of any use in this kind of predicament?
I have Renthal Dakar High pattern. They don't touch the tank or fairing (touching the tank is a test failure also).

The best way to tackle this is at the stops, drill & tap holes for M5 bolts in the stops on the bottom yoke. By adding washers or grinding the bolt head down with care you should get the desired result. Remember to check the steering security lock still works and that’s it. Race scrutineers like this one.
Dakar high bend touched on Mrs Flips 650. Fitted 1" risers and with the Acerbis hand guards they just about clear after rolling the bars back a bit.
Try www.migsel.com for bar risers, nice and competitively priced.
Had this problem on my (ex) XT350 after I fitted a Clarke tank - and as CC Baxter says, it worked. The tester is not concerned if you have limited steering lock, only that the bars don't smack the tank on full lock.
Having said that, as I said earlier, Renthal Daker Highs do not strike the fairing or tank if you position them right.
Things could be worse, you could be gunned down on the motorway!
Buckaroo B: I'm not far from you, you're welcome to come round to take a look.
