Hi all

My name's Sid and i've just joined the site after buying a new '07 TA.

I have been here before when i owned a 1999 600 which i foolishly sold a few years ago and have missed ever since.

I've owned loads of different bikes in the 20 years i've been riding , my first being a Yam RD250 and my last a BUELL XB9S , but i've always had a preference for Enduro type bikes.

The first time i had experience of the Transalp , was about 10 years ago , when i rode a mate's from Oban to Glasgow.
His was a 1990 bike with 50k miles on it , and i can remember thinking to myself , "This has got to be one of THE best bikes i've ever ridden".

I promised myself i'd have one at some point, and i got my first one a few years later and i loved it.

Trouble was , all my buddy's were riding Big Muscle Bikes at the time , and i ended up selling the TA to buy a Yam XJR 1300 ....BIG Mistake !!
The XJR was probably the WORST bike i have owned ... i hated it , and after only 2 months with it , i got rid of it and bought a KLR 650.

Anyway , in the back of my mind i always thought about buying another TA , and last month , that's what i did ... a nice new Black 650.

AND .... It's Great to be back !!!

Snap, sold mine last year for a brief fling with a Bandit 12, last month also bought a nice new black one .
