    Rear Wheel Refit

    Replaced the tyres today......

Before I could fit the rear wheel back on...The bike FELL OVER !!!!

All the bits I'd carefully lined up went up in the air !!!!

QUESTION: There's a little "U" shaped spacer that came from the right

hand side of the axle where the nut goes on.

Can anyone confirm exactly where to put this when refitting the rear

    wheel ??

    Thanks Kevin

A pic would help, then it would be a race to tell you what it is.....

    ps

it's not the adjuster that sits on the end of the swing arm is it? Or a shim from the brake?

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

When I go back to college in September at Kingston and my old cronky car dies, you can come out and tow me home to Braintree!!! I'll be honest, I thought Surbiton was a fictional place invented for The Good Life until I saw the signs last year.

Ha! The part of Surbiton I live in is called Tolworth (Junction

masquerading as a place) and there's no sign of the good life that I can

see.........Fair few candidates for the Jerry Springer Show though .

That's a bloody long commute Yen

Aha, Tolworth is where I leave the A3 and head for academia (actually it's full of teenage twats with no manners). I get paid the mileage from near Blackwall tunnel where I work so I go the long way round the M25, 1 for the money and 2 cos it's usually quicker. In fact I make so much out of the journey that I am suffering financially over the summer break ....

I seem to have an awful lot of free play in the plate that the rear caliper is attached to.......

Plate slots to the swing arm......Is that normal or has a bit gone missing when the bike fell ?

If you mean between the caliper bracket and the t-shaped slot it slides in, they are quite wobbly from side to side.
