    Scottoiler .... standard or touring....?

Big question, what is the mileage like before top up between them? I only so 10 miles a day on average, but can do a couple of longer runs here and there.

    Thanks in advance.

Standard as fitted to my TA, about 300 miles when set as per instructions (1-2 drops per minute)
Touring as fitted to my Fazer 600, dont know as I've never ever run it dry. I've done 18k miles on the Fazer, only ever having to adjust the chain when chainging tyres. I've topped the touring resevoir up maybe 4 times in that 18k miles.

Ace bits of kit - when you get them working

Cheers mate, for the extra £20 it will be the touring one I think. I have gone cheap on the chain and sprockets by get Honda's own kit from david silver £95 delivered , but paying the difference on scottoiler, instead of vastly expensive DID chain.

Reason being that I will probably upgrade to the 650 sooner than later, or back to a Dominator

That's amazing, I'll get a touring one next! I get around 300-400 miles from a std one.

On the chain, I bought an expensive DID one last time (the only replacement in 30k miles!) and its lasted so long with very few adjustments, that I'm gonna change it soon because I worry about it snapping! I'll stick with DID.

    Check out pro-oiler.com
They are excellent & work exactly as claimed.
Dual side delivery is standard not an extra cost option.
    Electronic controller is absolutely brilliant.
    Cheers, Tim.

The cheapest option for the high capacity res is phils idea and has far more street cred and is unbreakable.

I have the scott oiler hcr and get 2500+miles between fills but I run the dual injector so it puts twice as much oil on the the chain per drop of oil.

    I wouldnt be without it.

I take it you mean this, Paul

Easy to fit, easy to fill - unlike the std scott oiler, lasts over 4k on a fill and saves the life of one squeezable HP (fruity) sauce bottle. Oh and its free

Never heard of it, but the feedback seems good in the short term. However, you dont know how well it kept working after the feedback was left...
