    Sturzbugel

Wanting to be a little bit different, and having read all the various threads about crash-bars I went with African Queens. Cool name, pretty easy to deal with online (with a bit of help from babelfish) and helpful on the phone, spoke to Jasper.

Got the impression from various threads that there were some fitting issues with the Motech bars so imagine my surprise when the box from AQ arrives and it's a SW-Motech box with AQ tape..... inside the box the bars are in.... a Riky-Cross bag, confused? I was.

Bars look to be good quality, easy to fit, no allignment issues. Only mod required was to cut a couple of slots in the lower rad-grill to allow the fixing to clear. Grill then tucks behind the fixing so looks nice and tidy.

Only question really is how should I feel finding my AQ bars are made by Riky-Cross (perhaps via SW-Motech)? Did I end up paying more for the priveledge of some AQ tape on the box??

Bottom line is I'm happy with the bars and the price I paid E200 (£135 inc postage)

I've got the same bars, but didn't have to modify anything to make them fit, straight bolt-on.

    But mine's a 650, doh.

All fitted (apart from the horn). Was ready to head home, helmet on, engine running, jump on, clutch straight to the bars.... forgot to re-connect the clutch cable, arse. Helmet off, tools out, avoid hot exhaust etc etc etc
