    Clutch

My '06 TA seems to have developed a bit of an annoying jerk on take-up.
When you're moving off from stationary, as you're letting the clutch lever out, right at the last bit, the clutch suddenly goes home fully, not nice and smoothly. It's not a problem - just annoying. Hope I've explained it OK.
Is it me? or do others have the same thing? BTW it looks to be adjusted correctly. It shouldn't be the plates of their way out - I've only done 5000 miles.

I'm not sure about it being normal, but mine, and two others that I know of, all do the same thing. My mileage is about the same as yours too.

Cable sticking? I replaced mine at about 15k and the difference was amazing. Granted you shouldnt have a problem at 5k.

The cable is quite free to move, so I don't think it's that.

IMHO unless you have been seriously abusing the clutch its unlikley to be worn in that few miles. andif its definitely not the adjustment that's needed in the cable, then my only thoughts would be the drive chain - is it lubed and adjusted properly.

Otherwise just give it a big handful of revs and I am sure the jerk will disappear
