Question Givi tubular pannier rack TA

Intend to fit a tubular pannier rack to support soft throwover bags and the GIVI T213 appears to be suitable according to the description but GIVI do not publish a pic neither do M&P. Any experience with this GIVI pannier rack, or any other, much appreciated.

I found this pic, unfortunately it doesn't show the pannier rack fitted.

I bought some a few months ago, fitted them to the bike, tried my Oxford throwovers on them and took them back.

I thought the tubing used was not strong enough, too much weight would bend them into the exhaust / side panel.

So went for hard luggage in the end, may be OK for light loads.

Thumbs up Re: Givi tubular pannier rack TA

Thanks for your comments Chaps, the Givi rack does look rather slender but it is very useful to see how it is shaped. Thanks. I have also seen a ref to an SW Motech pannier rack which will be worth researching.

Excellent pic Wheeliebin, I am a fresher to the site and trying to upload a pic but not sure how to reduce the jpeg to 90kb. The shot I have taken is 430kb - shows a simple method of fitting a centre stand spring.

Ive got the givi soft luggage bars on my Fazer. John and myself compared them. As John states, his were very very bendy and in my opinion not fit for purpose. There is also a big gap that the luggage could sit through onto the exhausts. The pic doesnt really give that perspective in scale.

This thing looks nice, didn't knew them!

Even if its soft it's easy to connect both sides and make them harder!

Have you got any photo software installed on your PC if so which, reducing the size is easy enough and straight forward then upload onto the web copy and paste location
let us know what software you have and take it one step at a time.

You could just cheat and put a bracket over the exhaust like the previous owner to mine did?

Dont worry the blue screen was the first thing replaced when i got it.

I wasn't to convinced about the Givi pannier rack either, it looks a bit flimsy for my liking.

I ended up with Graves (Czech) crash bars and pannier racks. They are really well engineered. All in including barclays charge for currency transfer I recall it totalled about £200. Have a look on the Graves website, they were really friendly people to deal with.
