    1987 Colours

I'm just wondering weather the orginal Transalp colour scheme would suit the newer 650, always thought the 600 looked best in white.

I feel another little project coming on, I've asked a local bike painter how much to do it.................£620 !!

Excuse the rough pic, done in MS Paint, so the colours aren't quite right.
Would it look good, or more like a tarted-up ex-police bike ?

Do the newer TAs come with those AT-style belly pans? My oldie has the more boring "giant plastic snow shovel" style of belly pan.

That's nice. Seems some manufacturers don't realise when they've got a nice scheme and tinker till it all goes to the dogs. ATs and TAs went down hill as the years went by. Kawasaki kept knocking out bloody red instead of green GPzs for a long time, early fireblades had better schemes, as did CBRs.

Very nice John. Would be very eye catching, I reckon.

You had the hacksaw at the rear plastics too, by any chance

Actually that does look good! The original TA white was actually a pearlescent colour - very nice.

I was just about to point that out, it was almost creamy!

I always thought the 650TA would look good in some variant of RWB - it's the 'right' colour combination for a Honda trail bike.

You could do that a lot cheaper than £620 - paint everything white and then get the graphics made up in vinyl and applied by someone who knows what they're doing (i.e. a company that does vehicle graphics/signage).

White is the easiest colour to spray - you could even do it with a few aerosols and get a decent finish.

Actually looks quite nice, specially with that AT bellypan. I reckon that paintjob and a clear screen will complete the look!
