Question fitting SW Motech crashbars to a 600T/A

anyone fitted them? just got a set for my bike and the instructions are not very good.
thats being very diplomatic too!(they are rubbish!!)

do i need to remove the foot pegs to fit them? are there any other problems waiting to jump out at me?

i can see skinned knuckles and swearing will be involved.

They only fit one way don't they ? I suppose the further rear bolt should at least be fitted with the fotpeg bolt (but not sure how the motech ones look like)

What's with taking the footpeg off? I didn't need to do that when I fitted mine. The only difficulty I can remember was that the engine mounting bolt, which has to be replaced with the one in the kit, was a real bugger to shift. they had obviously used triple strength loctite on the thread and I had to buy a new socket, and use a 'T' bar with extention tubes on each side.

I seem to remember that you have to be a bit creative in cutting away a bit of the radiator cover. I don't seem to have kept the fitting instructions but it was no great shakes though, after I got the bolt shifted.

    haha!! i do that too.

now had a chance to look at bike and instruction,i have to remove bolt not the complete footpeg. bolt then holds end of crashbar onto footpeg mounting.think that makes sense?

i also think some trimming of panels may be needed, not a job to do yet as my "workshop" is the backyard!

    need a bigger shed.
