    Symtec Heated Grips.

Hi All, Im a relative newbie to the site, just thought Id drop in a good word for a nice bit of kit that I just installed on my 07 Alp

Just returned from my first chilly night ride using my new symtec grip heaters, I must say Im very impressed with them, I fitted the wrap around heater element type which offer a few benefits over standard hot grips.

Firstly they are very easy to fit, the wiring couldnt be simpler given that the live is tapped off from the headlamp (makes no difference to lighting efficiency) this also means you cant accidentally flatten your battery unless you leave the keys in and the lights on.

The best feature is that you retain the bikes original grips and other than one very small HI, LO, OFF, switch which I placed on the RH console, you can barely tell that they are fitted at all. very discreet indeed!!,Im really not keen on the big ugly bar mounted control panels,

Having just returned from a 40 mile motorway run in about 3 degrees C, I can definitely say the work a treat, even quite good on the low setting.
I will try to upload some piccys if anyone is interested, I got mine off ebay for 40 quid delivered so price is comparable with Oxfords,
    Happy riding!!

Yeah that is the same heaters that I used, neat idea using them in your boots
Do you find the one in your helmet very effective? and does it reduce the fogging on your visor at all?
