700 Transalp fuel guage query

My Alp went down to the last segment on the guage and then the guage started just continuously going up and down. There is still petrol in the tank. Is this the reserve warning system. I can not see anything in the handbook other than the segments then appear to start from the top down. Any help or advice appreciated before I contact dealer. This is the first tank of fuel by the way.

Mine did that, once I filled it it was fine, since then it has not reoccured but i have always had plenty of juice in the tank

its the reserve warning - you have 3 litres left

Page 37 in handbook it is reserve about 3.5 litres left. Fat-Mal
