Red face courtesy bike for the day

    missed by 'alp

had the new Kawazaki ZX10 for the day

mental - at 36 I'm obviously too old for this lark, riding position was like holding a press up - after 30 mins I was sweating and aching everywhere. It was only less painful above 80mph, the windblast helping to lift your weight off your aching wrists

bloody quick (it has 188 bhp), amazing brakes and very precise steering as you would expect - but I'd die within the week, its so fast ( and you want to go fast to make it hurt less ) that people are going to be misjudging your speed at junctions etc. Overtakes need very little planning - its almost instant.

    5% exhilaration, 95% frustration

roads just aren't long/clear enough, but it would be awesome on track, I'd never have the skill to tame it

I was glad to give it back and get on my comfy 'old mans bike'. If I had had that opportunity at 19 I'd have wet myself - I was just thankful to give it back in one piece (me in one piece too)

I'll take the scooter next time

    Courtesy bike? ZX-10!? Hells Bells!!!

I've had a shot on bro-in-laws ZX-9 - definitely not my cup of tea either.
