If its a slow puncture then a bicycle pump will get you to the nearest help, or an aerosol can of tyre weld or similar will make your tyre round again but will leave nasty residue in your tube/tyre. I carry a small bicycle pump in my fairing, takes no room nor weight.
I carry a AA card
just hope its not a long wait
Someone told me that 90% of punctures occur in the last 10% of a type's life. So if you don't want punctures, change types earlier!
Some tyre fitters charge extra for removing gloop from the rim / tyre - but it's still worth carrying tyreweld or whatever (the type for tubed tyres) as an emergency thing. It doesn't always work of course - depends how big the puncture is. And you can get emergency cover for the cost of a couple of cans! Though the AA / RAC ain't much use if you're halfway up a mountain with no mobile coverage!
I generally run Slime in the off road tyres, and also carry levers, tubes and patches/glue. Only takes about 30 mins when you've had a bit of practice. Best to get the practice at home first though!!

Ex Squaddies are used to long waits, I waited three days once for FRG recovery
