    Re-vamped Police Transalp

I bought a 2001 Ex-Police Transalp at Auction last year for £2,000. It had 18,000 miles on it and came with full luggage. The mechanical side was pretty good but the body work and wheels were in pretty poor shape. I stripped in down in November of last year and spent a lot of time on E-Bay buying bits and pieces here and there to replace broken, damaged and rusty parts.

I had the panels re-sprayed (No prizes for guessing where I got the colour scheme) and added a CM seat, driving lights, new blue tinted screen, Touring Scott-Oiler, rubber fork protectors, Touratech headlight guard, alloy chain guidance and chain guard.

A full service, new chain and sprockets and a re-placement stock exhaust off a 2007 Transalp. I have a Data-Tool Immobiliser waiting to go on and plan to get the rear wheel rebuilt when I can gather the money together.

I'm pretty pleased with the result and thought I'd share a few photo's with you. I know I could have bought a newer bike with the money I've spent on this, but I've really enjoyed getting it done. Most of the time.

Nice, who make the driving lights as I am after a set and they look ace.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

That is one very tasty TA.

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?
