Loud bang

I crack my transalp650 to start it after a week of rest. It cranked for 1.5 seconds and then a loud bang sounded. I thought the engine blew to a million pieces. I could see some black smoke coming from the exhaust. I got scared attempted to start it after 2 minutes it started immediately and all was normal after that.

This is the first time anything like that ever happens. I never had detonations or the like. Does anybody know why this happened, and if it did some damage?

back fire, my TA used to do it occasionally particularly if I used the kill switch to stop the engine for any reason and fired it back up.

if you go to some moto party you will see how some people do it on purpose with full throtle and kill swich off on!(i don't aprove it)
