HELP! rear sus. strip/regrease anyone done this?

its about time to give the links a clean and re-grease i have done my MTX200's so i know what to do,but anything i need to be careful of on a 1998 T/A 600?

i have a center stand on the bike so wheels off the ground will be no worries.

best grease to use? any other things to do while the wheel is out?

    cheers folks!

One warning. When we did my mates 600 we found that one of the bearings is an unsealed type, so the rollers fall out of the race on the floor when you remove the linkage. You pack a bed of grease in and just press them back, but not if you've lost one and haven't realised. So check as you take it apart so you're not caught by surprise.

You don't really need a book to do it, just make notes as you take it apart for things like which side the nut was, which order you had to take it apart to access each bolt (so you know which order to put them back). Digital camera is a good idea if you can keep it clean.

Usually it's just a case of cleaning them and regreasing.

A 98 600 should have a full set of caged bearings (none loose). From memory the bolt that holds the "dogbone" onto the swingarm is hard to get to with a socket so make sure you have a nice ring spanner to fit. 19mm maybe? The main pivot bolt can seize into the engine part so take your time.
The other thing I'd do is power wash the whole lot before you start because it's a filthy job.
