Tried One Today!!!

I have just dropped off my FMX for it's first service and they gave me a Transalp loan bike for the day, so I can't stop long, off out to play. What a nice bit of kit !! the only gripe I have with it and it's the same for many bikes for me, legroom... the seat is quite close to the footpegs and as I have very long legs my knees hang out each side but apart from that.. It's another Honda gem!!! in my book, so to all you Alper's out there.. Good choice and if you can get a raised seat for it, it just might be one for the stable in the future.

Bigrog, you must have very long legs! I'm 5' 11" and have no problem with the seat to peg distance.

Anyway, never mind that, I'm very happy with mine.

Can't imagine that a 33bhp kit would spoil the fun too much, you don't need mega horses for a bike like this anyway Mate, just enjoy it.. your day will soon come to open the stable door.

Nah it don't spoil it too much atall, still enough ponies galloping to catch those sunday crotch rocket riders up with far too much ease in the corners

The new Honda Transalp 08 version is 2cm shorter than the former version in their brochures stats. I still needed the lower seat to test ride it! Am only 5ft 5 and a 1/2! I really love the look of the new one but still trying to justify the extra expence!
If you have long legs perhaps you should try a 990adventure S?
