Scottish Tour & How To Sell a Transalp

Recently went on a weekend tour from Aberdeen with some guys from work.

Left on the Saturday going up through Royal Deeside and over the Grampians to Pitlochry in Perthshire. Then Crossed country around Loch Tay travelling on up to Crainlarich and round Lock Lomond to Tarbet. Finally on the Saturday, we travelled up over the Rest and be Thankful and stopped for the night in Inverary. Got p*s*ed.
Left on Sunday with raging hangover and headed up through Glen Orchy anti Glen Coe. Carried on up past Lock Ness to Inverness. Final stop off in Nairn before heading home.
Jon with the CB 500 had his girlfriend with him most of the way and his back, knees, arse and wrists were killing him by the time we got back. Gave him a shot of the Transalp during the trip and he loved it. He came home took a test drive and bought a brand new TA 700 within a week.

The TA was easily the best all rounder on the trip.

There is a few more scenery shots in my gallery and I can upload some more if anybody is interested.

    yep. more photos please!

was thinking of going to Scotland last "summer" but did not fancy a 1200 mile round trip in the rain.

    maybe this year?

I'd love to see more photos, and routes too when you get back.

I'm hoping to be heading for the hills as soon as possible once I get some work out of the way and if I can manage to stay away from ebay and save some money and was thinking of visiting some of the same areas (riding up from the newcastle to visit loch ness to have a nose around Alistair Crowley/Jimmy Page's old place - then head north westwards to take in some of the scenery I've heard so much about).

You mean Boleskine House ? Just along the road from me !!
You don't want to go there ---- dead spooky

    Yer DOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED I tell you

Don't know if they let the public in, they certainly never used to. There are some strange goings on up there. The back road around the loch, where Boleskine is located, is a good bike road and is not as frantic as the A82. There are three different spurs with some good views of the loch.

Give me a shout if you're up for it and I can advise.
