    Saddle & Tall Screen

    Hi All,

    I've recently bought a '04 TA 650 which I'm pretty delighted with but do need a bit of guidance on a couple of points (I'm in the UK BTW);
    1. Could anyone recommend a good place to get a tall screen? how much should I expect to pay?
    2. I'm 6'5" and the shape of the standard seat means that I'm forced to set further forward than I find comfortable due to the seat contours, does anyone make a completely flat saddle? or has anyone had a saddle adjusted /remade to remove the raised bit which is forcing my arse forward??
    Tom

    Never been impressed with tall screens, they tend to cause more turbulance, although a saw a post not so long ago about someone making an extra tall one that doesn't suffer.

    Russ has mod'ed his seat and done a very tidy job of it, think he's a similar size to you, sure he'll be along soon.

    First of all welcome to the site.
    answer to question one, I got a screen from powerbronze for about £50 and I got a Givi screen from bykebytz for about the same. there are posts on here about seats and the repacking plus someone will be along later with more advice.
    YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

    Hello I can't take the credit for the mod'ed seat, HarrisPhil off this forum had the seat modified be a vehicle upholster, I bought the seat off him when he sold his TA.

    From what I understand the seat cover was removed from the front of the seat and additional foam placed underneath and the cover stretched back over.

    Original

    Modded

    For me the seat has been a revelation, where as riding with the original seat I could manage at most just over an hour before having to take a break, now it's only the tank range that forces a stop. I'm just over 6' 2" tall, before the bike felt too small, now it fits just right so to speak.

    a bit more about it here
