Had mine for its 600 service and they replaced back brake cylinder. The part was already waiting at the dealers. Hope this helps.

Sorry to come in the back of this.... Is this continued from another thread.... And i have a early 57 plate - ex demo - 700.... is mine likely to be affected.... On a side note the back brake is squeeking like it is down to the wear markers after only 800 miles.....

I received yesterday a letter from the official dealer stating the problem. they told me that as soon as the part arrives in Cyprus, i can arrange an appointment for the 'upgrade'

In any case, i havent noticed any unusual behaviour from my bike regarding this issue

Had mine done at the 600 mile service, parts ready and waiting, dealer said it wasnt really an issue just Honda being cautious.

Mine was done when the dealer put the pannier rails and crash bars on. The back brake does squeal a bit now, but I put that down to warmer weather.

    Re: 700 recall (sorry upgrade)

Finaly 7 weeks after contacting honda they have confirmed that my bike has "outstanding work that needs to be completed" and have given me a phone number to request a letter from them about the works
Do honda always send emails asking customers to phone them asking for a letter?, it seems to me that they should just send the letter in the first place
