It IS noisier than the original screen at higher speeds but it doesn't get louder as such when you go faster, once the noise is there it's pretty consistent. I can't imagine running the bike with the original screen now.
Maybe a stupid question, but hven you say noisier, do you mean turbulence noise ?

Well, noise as in driving with the car window open but no actual forces bobbing your head about or causing you to hold your head against the wind. It doesn't happen nearly as much with the helmet in open face style (caberg trip) so I believe it is the wind rushing over the bottom of the helmet from the top of the screen. If you are couple of inches lower or taller (I'm 5'10) you may not get it at all? I had plugs in and it was fine, without would be too loud for long distance for me. A different helmet may be totally different too of course.

We've got the Honda high screen our ours. I must say that, at high speeds, it's really very good, providing excellent protection and makes motorway cruising very much more comfortable. Very little helmet buffeting. Coupled with a good helmet, it's as good as any fully-screened tourer in terms of upper body and head wind protection.

And let's face it, the standard screen provides little protection.

How tall are you Plasnart? I'm 6'2" and tried the honda taller screen and found quite a lot of helmet buffeting which blurred my vision to the point where I had to keep it below 50mph to get home then take it off and put the standard fly-flicker back on!!

I'm 5'10, nearly 5'11, I can imagine 3 inches would make quite a difference to how the screen feels.

Gents, this is a long story, so bear with me... (6'2" = 1.88m)
I bought a Touring Scottoiler (v.good): in the pack you also get a length of soft clear-plastic, which is 'groved', about 30cm long x 2cm wide - designed for routing the oil-feed hose along the swing-arm. Since I didn't need this for fitting my scottoiler, I thought - "maybe this would make a good wind-deflector on the Tall Screen" !!!

Hence, I attached this strip of plastic (its more like rubber, but clear) to the top edge of the screen, using bulldog-clips (those black clips you have in the office for holding documents together temporarily). This meant that I could remove the small chrome 'wings' from the bulldog clips, leaving just the body of the clip on the screen.

This gave a temporary arrangement (without having to damage the screen using glue etc).. So I tried it with, and then without.
I made a difference! It definitely helps! Give it a try if you are having any turbulence problems..

Will take some pictures and post them shortly..
