    Ride Magazine July Transalp feature

Anyone else read the feature on the Transalp in the July's Ride Magazine ?
    Is it just me
or is it a case of generally speaking with a lot of these mag's
if it doesn't go like a sports bike then there just not quite something right with it

that's why I gave up buying the magazines, the same 4 bikes featured in each one & the "comparison" boils down to which wheelies better & which is easier to scrape the footpegs on + some official constructer info about fuel consumption.

not what I want to know, so gave up on em.

I imagine the Transalp hasn't won any races recently (ducks to avoid the thrown vegetables)..

Dont normally buy bike mags but did this one. No real surprises in the write up. If I really took it as gospel as what was said I would sell up and get something else. BUT I AINT

Pretty much agree here ( with previous posts that is not magazines )
I stopped reading them years ago after a while same rubbish comes around ( how to wheelie , how to get your knee down stories about GPZGSXR! 180mph blah blah ) who rides , even if your bike could , at 150mph speeds scrapping their knees off the road and screaming off on one wheel?
OK I cant but dont want to.
Years ago there was Motorcycle Mechanics and they used to have articles about how to actually do stuff ( strip / rebuild things etc ) until it amalgamated with something else and morphed into a "speed " mag too

Oh my God I sound old

One set of mags I have got is the ON TWO WHEELS set.
also some where I have a set of magazines which show how to do stuff, they even show how to fit the day running lights.
the rest of the bike mags seem to boring read one and you know what the rest are saying.
