    Crash bars for xl600v transalp,95,N?

I have looked through past topics on crash bars and alot of them are for 650's so not sure if they would fit 600?
Anyway i've had the transalp about a month now and having read topics on here, the opinion seems to be "its not if you drop it, its when you drop it"
as the transalp is one of the biggest bikes around i can only get the balls of my feet on the ground when bike is upright, combine this with loose granite chippings and you have a recipe for potential disaster.
which crash bars are recommended, i like the motech crash bars but have heard these are discontinued???
and i think it maybe a good idea to lower the bike, would this intail dropping the front forks and adjusting rear shock??
would really appreciate any advice on this

I fitted a pair of Riky Cross bars (bought from African Queens) to my '98 600 and they saved me from significant damage whilst in Morocco. Several low speed tumbles on the piste and one on the road have left them somewhat battle scarred but there were no more than a few cosmetic scratches to the panels underneath.

    Cheers
