    Seized center stand

A friend at work did not use his alp for a couple of months and now his center stand is seized solid and won't budge at all. Now before I get my hands on it (Scaffold pole and mallett) has anyone come across this problem before?

No, but lace it WD40 and leave it overnight, it should only need a tap or 2

Is it up or down, if it is up high pressure washer and WD40 if down WD40 and brute force
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

Had the same on mine when I got the bike, It took me three days on and off forcing it down then up with a dead blow soft face hammer [hammer full of lead shot] and a few tins off plus gas untill it would return under spring action. The next thing was to drill and tap and fit two small grease nipples on the stand part and pump grease through, now every service it gets a couple of pumps of grease no problem since.
