do i need both tyres?

Hi folks.

I've done about 4000 miles and need a new rear tyre. The centre is barely legal .
The original front (trail wing 47) is as good as new.

I wanna replace the rear tyre with either the trail wing 152 or the battlax BT-45.

Will i be ok to run this combo of front TW47 and either TW152 OR BT-45 rear tyres ? (i've read somewhere that running different tyres is a big no-no )?

If your happy with the tral wings then change the rear for another trail wing, its usual to get 2 rear tyers front one front.

the BT45 is a dual compound road tyre may be ok .. but I would not do it, best not to mix class of tyres, just my view, but someone may have tried it

If your doing road work only a pair of BT45s will give good service.. I dont like death wings so am biased

Dominic, if you put in 'mixing tyres' in the search option you will find my post on the subject with a few replies.
I have a Trailwing front and Conti Escape on the rear with absolutely no problems. I don't think putting a road tyre with a trail style is the best option. Similar styles in my opinion.
