    Bulbs

Hi guys , i am fortunate to have bought my first TA a few days ago , i came across it by mistake, but i am sooooo grateful i did !!! I was origanally looking at the BMWs but came across this awesome machine ( i ll post photo s soon !!! ) .

The only fault with the motorcycle, is that both the brake light bulb and front bulbs have blown , i am considering replacing them myself but it does look rather involved - especially the front one.

Is it possible to replace those bulbs myself ?

Of course it is and it's a great way to get to know your bike and feel more confident about fixing things "on the road". You didn't say which model?

And welcome to the site BTW.

    Re: Bulbs

I stuck a "80%" brighter and "10%" more blue bulb in the front of mine the other day, wouldn't really want a bulb to go at the side of the road but least i now know how to do it.

Must say i wasn't sure about how good the bulbs would be so i stayed out till dark last night and they really are much better!

Welcome to the mad house - if it hasn't been said already. Getting you hands dirty with your new bike - that's what we want to hear.

Palmer, what make is the new bulb you have just fitted??
    Brrrmm - '04 XL650V Transalp in Silver

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

    Re: Bulbs

I changed my rear light unit for a LED unit, as the bulbs are capless and not sold in the normal garages.
Welcome to the site and one of the best bikes around.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

Is that one of the Philips ones? I popped one at the w/e (hence my asking for advice on installation) Not too sure it is much better really. I can feel a spot is needed...
