    Cleaning the exhaust

Saw a picture earlier today of how black my 'Alps exhaust looked when I first got her, and how faded it now looks in comparison, so decided to clean it. I used WD40, which got it shiny and looking new as the day it rolled out of the showroom. Trouble is, when I started the bike just now to check the oil, the WD40 evaporated in front of my eyes, not to mention the godaweful smell.

So, to my question: what do you use to clean the exhaust?

Now thats a shame because it's that bit that gets the extra shine and I don't have to work very hard at all

Do any of the women on this forum clean their own bikes? I have to clean Miss Raven_UK's bike aswell. It's like a big conspiracy...

Ha! Love the bit about "Increases exhaust gas velocity". How on earth can it do this?, when the paint is on the outside of the exhaust and the gases are on the inside!!!

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?
