    Nuther Newbie

Don't know if this is a kind of record but 15 years after seeing and liking the Transalp ,I've finally got my order in for a 700 (Anchor Grey).
I'm most definately not a lover of speed (as my wife will testify) and like my comfort so the TA ticked all the boxes for me !.
Did my refresher training on a ER-5 and thought it was dire so the Alp can only be better.

Couple of things I'm not sure of though. The Alp has a rack fitted - Will that take a Givi top box or do I need some kind of plate/adapter ?

Second ,where's the choke button on these bikes ?.

Hello and welcome to the asylum.

I think that your new 700 TA will need an adapter plate to fit the Givi top box. The Givi web-site will confirm this.

    http://www.givi.co.uk/per_la_tua_mot...=27569&lang=en

The choke - on the earlier 650 at least - is on the left handlebar.

    Hope that helps.

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

Hello Peelefart. There is no choke on the new Transalp because of the EFI. Just push the starter butten, an it goes

Bit difficult, as I think that it's just been ordered.

    Re: Nuther Newbie

    Thanks Sharibee,

Can't post pickies yet cause I haven't picked the bike up yet.
The dealer did me an OK deal cause I've got no part ex I think .

I took advice from here really and everyone seems to think a centre stand is a must so I'm having one of those fitted, together with a scottoiler.
Got to admit it was a tough choice between the TA and the V-strom but deep down I guess I'm just a Honda guy.

Other than that all I have to do is pay for it !! easy really .

    Looking forward to it though.

(Do they make ER-5's so bad that you rush out to buy something else or is it me ?)
