Tyre change

Hi all,

Honda recomend Trailwings On the TA and recomend 29 p.s.i although the tyre is rated at 36 p.s.i.

I've just fitted a BT45 Battlax to the front of my TA. The Battlax is rated at 41 p.s.i. Can anyone tell me what pressure I sould have in the new tyre?

It depends on your riding style, the types of roads you drive on and whether you have the bike heavily loaded for touring. I'd suggest anywhere around 32psi for general use and drop a few psi if you are greenlaning. If you are just commuting then 36psi is more appropriate but don't bang onto any kerbs.

You are likely to get myriad answers to this question, however Honda have done the most research into what suits their bikes best - the tyre companies make tyres for use all over the world and rate them for higher pressures to suit a range of bikes and applications. Generally the tyre will only display the MAX pressure - not the recomended running pressure.
