    TA V6 Electrical problem

    Hello all
My TA has an electrical problem most noticable at night.
The lights, all of them keep going brighter for a second. I tried pulling the clutch, brake (both), while moving, and it causes the problem so it seems to be a loose connection some where. Thats not very well put, but the abrupt movement of the bike whilst riding caused the flashing. Note the lights do not go out, just get brighter for a split second.

    Any Ideas where to start.

Have you checked the leads from the battery to the solenoid and the the earth wire to the frame, it could be a loose connection were vibes change the amount of contact the wires have.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

I haven't had a chance to get at it yet. Just getting alist of stuff to try. Thats first on the list.

I am a bit concerned that because the lights do not go out, just change in intensity that the problem could be retifier related.

    Well that was simple.
It was one the bolt that holds the rectifier to the frame with the earth tag on it.
At first I thought it was loose, but on closer inspection it was cross threaded and not very far in.
I guess the factory puts them in with an automatic wrench that has a torque setting and when the torque is reached, they think the bolt is in.
It was quite tight. So must have been like it from new.
Quick run thru with a tap and "hey ho" better that new.
