    Question TA 700 Hiss indicator

    Hi people
How do you turn the HISS indicator light on and off?
The handbook says on page 63
    turn the ignition ON
    Turn the ignition Off
Press and hold the reset button (the lower one) for more than 2 seconds
I cant get it to work, can you help. Fat Mal

This is the one that flashes like an alarm active.
It works for 24hrs after bike ign on.
I am sure that the ign should be on to switch this.
I once switched it off on my old DV700 - I was reseting trip mileage with gloves on after filling up.
I must have pressed it too long and switched flasher off.
I too had to look hard to put it back on.
I find it a useful deterrent as it looks like an alarm.
Try long push with ign on

It took me forever to figure this out.

It is not the ignition you turn on and off, it is the kill switch on the right hand switchgear. (I think the manual says ignition switch).

The manual isn't very clear on this (hence it took me so long, and it's nice to know it isn't just me! )

Holding down the lower button for a few seconds with the ignition on seems to do it for me. Did it last night in fact, as I put a new alarm on at the weekend and disconnected the battery.

I just realised that I had turned my HISS indicator off whilst working out how to set the clock back yesterday. Now I've got the HISS flashing again but I've reset my trip meter in the process.

    Oh Bolx!
