    Sticky choke?

Sticky choke seems to be a common Transalp problem.
My 650 has a sticky choke I think.
How do I test to know for sure if the choke is det problem?
I do not want to take the choke apart at this stage.
I got the bike back from 12.000 km service on friday.
I drive my TA every day.
My TA is 15 months old, will this be a guarantie issue?
    Ideas please?

Not common? What are the symptoms?

    Re: Sticky choke?

My dealer told me so after the 12.000 km service.
    Black deposit inside the muffler.
Start without choke even at 0 degrees celsius.

I have a complete Arrow exhaust including header, KN-air filter, original main jets. Fuel consumption, 17.5 km pr. liter fuel.

    Maybe this is normal?

    Re: Sticky choke?

Shouldn't they have fixed then?!! Just check its operation, pull the choke on and then off and check that its releasing at the other end.

I would be surprised if it was faulty at that mileage. And there will be black deposit inside the exhaust anyway! I would check the colour of the spark plugs, they should be light brown - if they are, no problem. I would expect it to run leaner with k & n and arrow? You may need a re-jet?

That's 50 mpg! Completely okay. What mileage do you get out of a tank?

    Re: Sticky choke?

Usually I have to fill 16.5 liter after 280-300 km.
I drive mostly to work, a lot of stop and go, so maybe my choke is OK.
    Thanks for you answers.
