    ABP header pipes

hi i no this subject has been coverd and i have read all the posts however i would still like to no if i can get the ABP header pipes on and keep the standard end can without it messing up the mixture to much, i dont want to mess around changing jets or anything else, and i want to keep standard airbox and filter, the main reason is to save a little wieght and improve the look of the bike. a little bit better throttle response would be nice but i dont want the fuel mix changing much from standard and i am happy with the speed of the bike i dont want it running weak and messing the reliability of the engine, especialy when run on less octane rich petrol, ie abroad in europe where it can go down to around 85 octane level compared to our english 95, any thoughts would be good.......

    Re: ABP header pipes

I have these headers fitted. I jetted down to 125 mains at the same time with excellent results, so you won't have any probs if you leave the jetting as standard. The pipes go straight on and fit the standard silencer perfectly (as you'd expect of something made in Germany).

    Jamie
I have been considering these too (only ones ive seen in Eurozone - anyone seen others easily available to UK buyers ?) much cleaner lines than chopping off the Cat & i would presume offer much better flow dynamics than modding the std item ?)

How the hell do you fathom out how to order from ABP ? My German non existent & quite suprised not to see any english on a Euro seller site (apart from "Have Fun" !)

Wonder what implications are for reduced shipping if mutliple buys organised ?

Anyone interested in considering this ????

I just rang them up and asked if they spoke English, which someone did. They sent me details of how to pay by bank transfer and the pipes turned up a week after this was done. Easy as that.

Is the power difference instantly noticeable?
Do the manufacturers recommend a re-jet?
