    XL700 headlight bulbs

Happy New Year! and all that..

Has anyone upgraded the H11 headlight bulbs on an XL700? I was hoping to get some halfords ultra bright ones but they don't seem to exist for that fitting...

Anyone know if the H11 Osram Night Breaker +90% (£24.66 a pair) is as good or better?

    Osram are a branded make.
they make most of the bulbs used in the Home, must be worth trying as they need to keep a reputation.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

Fitted the Osram Night Breaker bulbs this morning (pleased with the service from Autobulbsdirect.co.uk), definitly seem whiter and brighter in the carpark.

I'll let you know what I think of em after riding home tonight...

    Hi all,

Just to let you know the ride home on wet roads with the Osram Night Breaker bulbs was very good. Looking forward to seeing what they are like on dry roads!
Definitely better light that the standard bulbs, so if you are looking for an improvement (rather than a revelation aka:- HID lamps) then I'd recommend them.

OK I take that back, I fitted the Nightbreakers in January and they have both blown already. So no I don't recommend them any more...

Maybe I'll look more seriously at HID's again, they've gotta last longer than a couple of months each...

Did you get the kit from flea bay, or some place better? Do you have an idea where you might position the ballasts? I was thinking under headlight but I am planning on putting some fogs there...
