hullo peeps,
for those that use them, what pressure do you run anakees at?
they're on a ta600.

hmmm
i'm having to run the front at 2.3 to keep it seated properly, how much of a problem is this going to be?

I took the pressures from the hand book assuming the tyres were the original fitment.
Are you sure you have a standard fount rim.
The Michelin website gives the pressures as 2.0 bar front and rear for the 600 TA.

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

Are you positive the bead is properly popped onto the rim?
I remember having to whack the pressures really high on all sorts of tubed tyres to get the bead to pop on.
Were they fitted for you?
ya, i had a new anakee mounted the other week & riding, i noticed a bit of a wobble but put it down to road surface. Couple of days later, standing on the pegs & riding slowly i looked at the front tyre & thought my wheel was warped.
on close inspection it appears that the tyre, when fitted without pressure seems ok. pressure it up & the tyre rides out on the rim to a certain point. this point is marked by a slight lip on the tyre flank & this lip showed that the tyre's not sitting evenly on the rim. pump it up to 5bar & all sits fine, let the pressure off again & one half of one side of the tyre slides back down into the wheel & therefore makes the tyre sit enevenly on the rim. Only by keeping the pressure at 2.3bar can i make it sit properly.
Should I be getting involved in arguments with th bike shop & trying to get it replaced? Or do I just run it at 2.3bar?
I havn't so far noticed any handling change.

I would be back to the shop, either they did'nt fit it properly or the tyre is faulty. . . . . my first guess would be badly fitted. (innertube trapped under bead maybe)
If you fitted it yourself, take it off and start again to be sure.
What a pain!
Definitely the bead- they will have to take it all off and start again. Maybe personally check the tube for scuffs when they do it. Quite likely to be damaged- how damaged is the question.
'Sort of' fair enough- Tubed tyres are a lot harder and slower to fit than tubeless. When i first started i used to try and change them at the same speed as tubeless- and the garage had to pay for my mistakes. As will they.![]()
