    Help, new exhaust needed.

    Help!!!!

Exhaust has finaly died on the Alp (1997) ,want a stainless one but can't
    decide which one.

Needs to fit tight to bike in standard position and not be much louder than orignal pipe.

So far the Lazer seems best but may be a little loud.

Any ideas and the best place's to get them.

I went with the Arrow one after advice from this forum, it is a bit louder but nice with it, not harsh by any means. There is a recording on YouTube for a bike with and without the Arrow can.

I am pleased with it so far but as with all things Italian made, there was a problem. Had to make my own gasket for it as the supplied one was far too big and the old one on the bike fell to bits when I took the old pipe off.

Thats not so good about the gasket, you would have thought for the money your paying all the bit should fit.. what did you make the gasket out of..
    Just wondering....

    cheers

well I got one of those silencer repair kits from Halfrauds, actually have one of their trade discount cards so makes shopping there less painful.

I cut a length of the alu sheet to fit the remaining portion of the header pipes and started winding it round and for every turn stuck in a smearing of gun gum. Imagine a swiss roll type of affair. Then by careful jiggling of the tailpipe and opening up of the slots on said pipe, managed to slide the new pipe on. When you do up the clamp, the gun gum squeezes out a bit so you just clean up the excess. Run the engine a bit and thats it sealed.

No copyright on this, feel free to try yourself.

I was up at Quill a couple of weeks ago, went up with a mate who was having a couple of titanium cans fitted to his Tuono, The Guys at quill were spot on, The exhaust was on and off the bike several times until they were sure both cans were exactly alighned .......Top marks Top job

For a guide price they quoted me £230.00 for a stainless can and link pipe for the Tiger fitted and set up on the Dyno

There are 2 types of Laser ProDuro (I take it that's the one you meant) a "streetlegal" and a "sport" version.

The streetlegal is usually a bit more expensive (and harder to get hold of) but has a nice full-bodied sound without being too loud. The sport version can be a bit much.

Also the streetlegal version doesn't need re-jetting, the sport one does.
