Over 18ths of blood, sweat, tears and a bank balance that fluctuated drastically, after a flattening the battery last night, and not even a cough, going to bed very despondent I left it to charge today, I had visions of stripping it down again to get to the carbs and checking the float needles etc etc. But, after reading on here this morning about starting problems I took the advice and opened the bowl drain screw, let some fuel run out, then tried again....YES YES YES, a few splutters and there she was purring like a kitten, twist the throttle and roaring like a lion.
Now all i've got to do is sort out the legalities and I'll hopefully be joining you on some ride outs or breakfast at the ACE to say a peronal thank you to those that helped me personally and for all your advice to others that proved so valuable in my quest to bring the old girl back to life.![]()
