    Dr Bike Heated Grips

My ill luck with heated grips continues. The first set of Saito grips were replaced because of erratic heat. The second set os Saito grips returned because only 2/3 of the grip heated up. Then purchased a set of Dr Bike grips because J&S the supplier claim they are Oxford Hot Grips with an own brand manual dial controller. Sounds like a good combination. Wired the new DR Bike grips loosely resting on the seat and before not to long a lovely heat permeated through the rubber. Unfortunately the red LED on the controller was stone dead and with this controller it really is required to indicate whether the buggers are on or not. Controller returned to J&S who swiftly returned a replacement but sod it the LED is again dead. Patiently the second controller is now in the post and if the 3rd is knackered the lot is returned for a refund. Pity because the grips do reach a toasty temperature. Will keep posted.

The guys at J&S https://www.jsaccessories.co.uk/ have been incredibly helpful with my grip controller problem. The 3rd Dr Bike controller works fine, the grips heat and the red LEd illuminates. Now the confession, nothing wrong with any of the controllers, if I had been more careful connecting the supply red to red and black to black they would have worked from the start, thanks J&S.

Well done you got it sorted finally.
Remember RED is positive and BLACK is Earth.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

Mind, I thought most modern bits of circuitry have a polarity protection widget or summat?
