Good road tyres please! (I have used search!)

I've FINALLY got a good set of wheels and now I'm after the best road tyres I can get for a '98 Transalp.

I've used search but most threads are very old and technlogy moves on.

I'm looking for wet and dry performance as my Transalp will be my commuter and wet weather bike.

    Thanks!

Many rave about the Dunlop 607's (never used them myself)

There's also the Bridgestone BT45's. But again I haven't used them.

However, I do have Michelin Anakees on my 650 TA and rate them very highly.

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

    Anakee's

transformed by alp after the trailwings

they look off roady too if that helps - work very well in the wet, can start to grind the panniers in the dry, have done 6000 miles and look about half done

I changed the original Trailwings to BT45's (130 on the back) been very happy with them. As a new rider they provide much more confidence in the wet. This is purely for road use

Done approx 4000 miles on the back6000m on the front and they still look good.

I have no problems with the Avon Distanzias.
There are quite a few tyre types which fit, but it all comes down to you, what is good for one may not be good for another.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE
