Your choice.... If you have an off, the insurers may look at non matched tyres unhappily!! Personal experience is that it doesn't matter a huge deal, but you do want to match types. eg. no off-road front, road type rear type mixes!!![]()
Why don't you go for the same tyre as on the back end anyway?

Ahh, I seeNever used TW's but I am sure someone will who can recommend a match. However, to buy a pair is not too bad if you use one of the online suppliers and sell the TW here?
Last pair of tyres I bought were only a few quid more than the local dealer wanted for one rear!!

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

Ditch the deathwings and try something like tourances, much better in my humble opinion
when my rear TW wore our I replaced with a Tourance. Like all new tyres, even a matched pair, it feels strange for the first few miles but then I never ever noticed anything and just rode it like normal. When the front TW wore out I replaced both F&R with Tourances.
Now I have decided I don't like tourances and am on a pair Dunlop D607 on the TA and Conti road attack (front) and trail attack (rear) on the Vara.
