    rear shock ajustment

going to the dragan rally tomorrow - just setting the bike up with my ex KTM panniers (plastic jobbies) so change shock set up. Has anyone cut the plastic ex air box on the later alp's to make a window to shock ajuster- because thats what i'm thinking of doing this summer. If that makes sence?

Not heard of anyone doing that. Have heard 1 or 2 looking at remote hydraulic adjuster modification. Otherwise its down to drifts and a hammer, I'm told!

Not done anything yet, but I'm thinking of cutting 3 sides of a square to make a closeable flap in the underseat storage area of the 650.

Wouldn't be that water tight afterwards, but don't put much in there anyway, Scotoiler and toolkit.

that's the kind of thing i was thinking - maybe a silicone seal and gaffer tape to stop water?

Interested to see how this mod goes!

I can't see much, if any water getting in there as it's quite buried, not sure how easy it will be to access the adjusting collars with a drift & hammer though.

I'm hopeing to be able to use a c spanner on it - now wondering whether to take out 3 sides leaving rear mud protector for the shock - or cut a window at the front with a rubber flap riveted at top to form a door - the collars should be easy to access then.
