after playing around with heated grips problem last week, checked over all connections etc......made sure battery was topped right up.....still not staying on ( famous blue led flashing then off). then remembered voltage drop tip i was given. noticed idle rpm when up to normal temp down to approx 1000. tweaked it up to around 1200-1250 rpm and hey presto!!.......nice warm digits !! can anyone confirm idle rpm should be around 1200+/-100 anyway??? cheers ade ( biggest grinner in s.wales at present )

Well, the Honda owner's manual for the 650 says 1200 rpm ± 100 rpm.

So, you are right on the mark.
