please help a TA newbie and sorry if this is a stupid question but:
On my 03 TA i've found the hole to adjust the rear suspension but what do I adjust it with?
Is there a special tool or is it just an allen key?
Thanks guys!

LOng flat bladed screwdriver..
If you shine a torch in the hole you will see the screw head.
I believe that the adjustment you are taking about , adjusts the compression on the rear shock.
To adjust the Preload, thats a bit more complex.

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

Welcome to the forum
the only silly thing about the TA is that, adjustment of the rear shock needs a partial strip down of the bike.
don't get too excited, l found that turning the rear adjuster doesn't make a huge difference!.
There is an alternative to removing the battery box. I take the rear wheel out and remove the RSU that way.
Steve
I come in from the other side with a l o n g shanked screwdriver and a hammer. Less stuff to remove I reckon. I have loosened the locknut now, so a wee tap gets it undone again and then use the same drift to tap the preload screw around. First time I needed a chisel to free the locknut!!
Still a bloody stupid design IMO.

I promise i wont ask silly questions when im bored at work again. Shone the torch on it last night and found the special tool is a.... screwdriver!
will check then ask in the future.
Thanks for the tips about adjusting the preload though, much appreciated.
Another matter, I wanted to adjust my gear lever to give me a litttle more room, but couldnt get it off. (promise i actually tried this time) Is there a trick or should i get violent.
Remove the bolt that holds the lever on (completely as it sits in an indent in the selector shaft). Then if the lever doesn't wiggle off, prise the slot apart gently with a screwdriver.
AAAAHHHH! now i know why it would move but not come off.
Thanks recycler!
You guys are all ace!
