    Exclamation Rear suspension XL650V 07

    mmmmmmmmmmmm anyone ever wonderd if you can put air into the valve on the suspension on the back.........just its feeling a bit soft even though its set to hard wonderd if they need a slight topping up here and there........was not up for putting air in incase its ment to be Co2 or something else and what psi ?? anyone got any thoughts on this ..........................Cheers

    I think that the air valve is only for use when the shock has been serviced & not a DIY adjustment and they have Nitrogen (?) in them.

    If you want firmer, either adjust the preload on the spring to reduce the amount of sag when you sit on the bike & help prevenmt it from bottoming out or adjust the compression adjuster (in) to reduce wallowing.
    Otherwise (if you are carrying a lot of weight) you will need a heavier/stronger spring but the stock one is fine for solo touring or lightly laden 2 up.

    cheers for the info, i tryed all the latter mmmmmmmmm msybe i out to wip it out for a closer inspection..........tis all fin n mechanics
