    Re: Touring Screen

Have had the Honda touring screen on both the 650 and 700 alps (try fleabay) and it's excellent. I think Austin has a deflector on one of his - not sure what the make is but they seem good from what people have said on the forum

    Re: Touring Screen

I have had a Givi touring screen, a Powerbronze screen and a honda touring screen, I now have an MRA Vario screen and it is better than the rest.

    Re: Touring Screen

I got my taller touring screen from a company called Calsport, based in Birmingham, www.calsport.co.uk

Think mine was around £60 and with free P&P, but did have to wait a few weeks as had to be made to order as I wanted mine with a blue tint.

Also look at www.twistedthrottle.com they have a few links on there...

lastly type into google touring screens for honda transalp, and see what you get.

I have a Honda touring screen which was really noisy, I took it off and went back to standard because the wind noise was deafening

    Re: Touring Screen

    Hi Folks

I have a Honda tall screen which was fitted from new, so I have no comparison, however I am really pleased with how it functions. I had been riding for about 3 miles at speed the other day before I realised that my visor was still up. There was little or no wind in my face as it had all been deflected above me. As an experiment I gradually eased myself up on the pegs until I felt the full wind blast - I would suggest that the taller, or more upright riders may well suffer from the blast and that the height of the riders head will really be the difference between hating or loving the screen. By the way I am 5'10" and sit up fairly straight, My bike is an 08/09 700v
    Cheers
    Rob

    Re: Touring Screen

With the standard Transalp screen I was getting wind blast from the chest up. I changed to an MRA Vario I got from here: http://www.bikehps.com/acatalog/Vari...for_Honda.html much better, no buffeting just a bit of wind noise.

I noticed the MRA Vario deflects the air nicely I found that the wind blast I got was from the sides of the screen on my shoulders but not as noisy as a touring screen and more protection than a standard screen.
