    '93 Transalp front fork sliders

    ONe more thing - front fork sliders are corroded anyway to really shine them up again?

    if they are corroded in the area that slides through the seals and top bush.. replace them

    else Auto Solvo crome cleaning paste and 0000 wire wool.. ( the real fine stuff ) .. works for me

    They're fine under the gaitors, the corrosion is along the front edge. I tried some autosol on them but it didn't help. Course if I rubbed my fingers til they bled it might but I'm not going to do that.

    Wish I had a buffer, think a Dremel is too small, fine steel wool, well that would make them look a whole lot better then they do now, thanks for the tip. I haven't even seen steel wool since I cleaned up that Tuba...

    been restoring pitch pine door on the house.. 0000 wire wool for the final wax coating... then thought mmmm wonder if this will sort that chrome..

    works a treat.. but take it real easy

    dont like using dremels for buffing as they are too small and you can over do an area. elbow gease and/ or a full size buffing wheel with compound.. even these can cause localised mischief if your not too carful..
