I doubt they have changed much

Looking back, my first real "off" was in Ireland in about 19....erm... something or other! I dropped an RD 250 on a dead straight bit of bumpy bog road in driving rain. I was never sure what happened, but I look back and think I either was kicked off or I had tickled the front disc "to dry it"* and locked it momentarily on a greasy road.

*Those of us who rode disc braked bikes in the 70's know what I mean
